We all experience times when our mental health needs attention, just as our physical health does. Yet talking about mental wellness isn’t always easy. The good news is that we don’t have to care for ourselves—or one another—alone. God has given us the gift of Christian community, where we can walk alongside one another with the hope and compassion of Christ.

Trinity’s Parish Nurse Program, in partnership with Care & Concern, invites you to a compassion-centered conversation about mental health and how our church community can be a place of help and hope.

Led by Amy Filter, RN, MSN, this gathering will explore practical, sustainable ways to care for our mental wellness while drawing on our faith in Jesus—and a little brain science along the way.

Together, we’ll consider ways to care for the whole person—mind, body, and spirit—and how our faith can shape the way we approach mental wellness. We’ll also talk about how we can respond with Christ-centered compassion when a mental health crisis arises, learn about options for ongoing support, and take home helpful resources.

As members of the Body of Christ, we are called to care for and walk alongside one another. By becoming better informed and more comfortable talking about mental health, we can help strengthen Trinity as a community where people are reminded that they do not walk through life’s struggles alone.
