FIRST BIBLE MILESTONE: 2nd GRADERS and PARENTS
One of the sacred promises made at baptism by parents is to “place in their (child’s) hands the Holy Scriptures.” Trinity Lutheran wants to not only encourage that event to take place and have it be special, but we also want to come alongside 2nd graders and their family to help support them in using their Bible on a regular basis.
This faith milestone is taught in two sessions in late September/early October during Sunday Discipleship (9:30-10:15AM). There is a special blessing held in the sanctuary during the last session. The sessions will include personalizing their Bible, blessing your child, discussing features of the new Bible and how to have personal time with God in His Word on a regular basis.
Siblings and 2nd graders (for part of the time) will be able to participate in Trinity Kids Sunday Morning while parents meet in room 115.
The next First Bible Milestone class will take place on September 24 and October 1, 2023, with the Blessing taking place at 10:30 worship on October 1. Registration will be available closer to that date.
