For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.
— Ephesians 2:10

SALT teams are an opportunity for students to grow in their leadership skills and share their gifts with their youth community.  Students in 8th grade are eligible for the Jr. SALT Team and all high school students are eligible for the Sr. SALT Team.

What is SALT?

SALT members learn valuable leadership skills by using their God given gifts to plan activities for our youth ministry.  Jr. and Sr. SALT both decide on issues important to the overall focus and operation of the youth programs.

What does SALT do?

Members decide the activities of our youth program, plan and organize those activities, and make many other decisions regarding our programs.  SALT members act as the representatives of their peers in guiding the direction of our program.

What are the commitments?

  • Apply for SALT positions in April.
  • Attend leadership retreats in June and August for orientation to their roles and to begin the planning process.
  • Attend monthly meetings October-May.
  • Be active in worship and Bible study.
