L.I.F.E. Groups

As we read in the book of Acts, when the Christian church was getting its start, the believers met together as a large group and in smaller groups in the homes of the believers. Today, we meet together for worship in large groups on Sunday morning and Wednesday nights.

L.I.F.E. Groups = Living in Faith Everywhere

The L.I.F.E. Groups will gather around five key elements: Prayer, Teaching, Worship, Community and Care, and Missional Service.

LIFE Groups are an opportunity for 6-20 people to connect regularly on their journey through life. They help each other grow closer in their relationship with God and with each other. A trained leader facilitates and encourages the group's conversation and activities. LIFE Groups meet around friendly conversation, refreshments, fellowship, and the topic discussion.
LIFE Groups meet on various days of the week and at a variety of times and locations. Not only that, groups have a unique look and feel based on the different interests and life experiences of the members.

February 12 - Life Group Leadership Event

3-5 pm at Trinity Rm 147-149
All LIFE Group Leaders are invited to attend a training event and enjoy fellowship as we have a meal together. We will share with each other, continue to grow in how we pray, and to gain more tools for the use of prayer in our LIFE Groups. Please feel free to invite a potential LIFE group leader to the event.

Please RSVP by emailing Mary Yoder or calling 826-6202.

How Do I Join a LIFE Group?

1. Beginning Sunday, September 11th you will have an opportunity during worship to join a group or request more information about a group. When you complete your member or visitor registration card, you can simply write the group letter and number on that line of the card. When you pass your card in, we will help connect you to the group of your choosing or we will be in touch with you to answer questions about any group

2. You may also email Chuck Bahn, Director of Christian Growth or call 834-3203 or Tandy Allison, Lay Director of Christian Growth at 828-3485.

Faithbooking

Faithbooking is about creating a scrapbook or pages in a scrapbook that are an affirmation to the person you are scrapping about. Faithbooks will do two things: affirm and build self-esteem, and encourage and increase faith. There are a variety of ways faithbooks can be created. A faithbook can be an "I hope . . ." or "My prayer for you . . ." book made specifically for someone or faith pages can be woven into a family or child's scrapbook. Whether you are (or want to be) a traditional scrapper or a digital scrapper, or have never thought of scrapping till now, you will enjoy this LIFE Group!

Fellowship Groups

If you have a group of friends you would like to gather with them on a more regular basis to enjoy each other's company, we can help you form a LIFE Group. Maybe you have an interest in movies, books, sporting events, or a particular hobby. Maybe it would be fun to meet with some friends on a more regular basis for lunch or dinner. In this day of various electronic forms of connecting with people, sometimes it's just nice to sit down with others to catch up on the day, share joys and to celebrate what we have in common.
