The Associate Pastor Call Committee was formed to identify candidates to full the vacant Associate Pastor position. Our church Bylaws charge our committee with bringing a slate of candidates to the Voters Assembly to enable our congregation to vote to issue a call for our next Associate Pastor for Mission, Outreach, and Young Adults.

MEET YOUR COMMITTEE
A native of southern Indiana, Brett is an accountant by trade and has been a member of TLC for over 20 years. He has served in the areas of Youth Ministry, Constitution Review, and Board of Lay Ministry, both as Vice President, and now President of the congregation. Brett and his wife, Mary, love spending quality family time with their two daughters who keep them in constant motion. As time allows, Brett enjoys pursuing his athletic endeavors including running, cycling, tennis, and the TLC softball team.
Paul Colba is a retired educator who has taught in the Lutheran schools for thirteen years, eight of those at Trinity Bloomington. He continued his career at Tri-Valley High School as teacher, Athletic Director and then as high school principal. He is married to Patti and has three daughters and a son, seven grandsons and one granddaughter. He and Patti love to travel, having visited 48 of the 50 states and many of the National Parks. Gardening, building decks, and fishing with friends are several of the things he does to keep busy.
Hannah joined Trinity in 2016 after moving from Oregon to Illinois for graduate school. It's her fourth year in the English PhD program at Illinois State, so she spends a lot of her free time working on her dissertation, or at least thinking about working on it! At Trinity, she sings in the choir, volunteers with Sidewalk Sunday School, and helps organize Intersect, Trinity's Young Adult ministry.
Hannah is also very thankful for Trinity's sponsorship and support as she goes through PLI's 1000 Young Leaders Initiative.
Peggy is married to Don and they have been blessed with 3 wonderful children (Drew, Jana and Jami), 3 grandchildren and a fourth grandchild due in November. Spending time with their growing family is always a priority. Peggy enjoys walking, bike riding, gardening, boating, cooking, playing with the family dogs and participating in a Motorcycle Ministry group.
Peggy is employed as an Executive Assistant in Internal Audit at State Farm. Peggy has been an active member of Trinity Lutheran for 29 years. While at Trinity, Peggy has been involved in numerous activities: school auctions, parent volunteer opportunities, bell choir and capital campaigns. Participating in a Trinity Small Group for many years has been one of the richest blessings.
Rick Lehner has been a member of Trinity Lutheran Church for 35 years and has served in various capacities and committees along the way - including Elder, Bible Study Leader, Strategic Planning - Property Search Team, Tech Team, Marriage Ministry/Date Night Team, and more. He and Dianne, are proud parents to Matthew, Ryan (and daughter-in-law Caitlin), and grandparents to Oliver. Rick loves bring the Word to others through music. This coupled with his passion for drums and piano is why he enjoys being a member of Trinity's Expressions Praise and Worship team. He is also an avid photographer and has helped capture many of Trinity's changes over the years.
He is excited to see how the Holy Spirit will guide Trinity to fill the pastoral opening to advance His kingdom.
Sol Roberts-Lieb has been a member at Trinity since 2016 after being baptized and confirmed. He works at the University of Illinois as is the Director of Faculty Development for the Carle Illinois College of Medicine. Sol is active in church life serving as an usher, sound technician, helping with vacation Bible school, and serving as the Lay Director of Witness. Sol is married to Amanda and they have two children: Alice, 5, and Cecilia, 9, both who attend Trinity Lutheran School.
Sol is excited to be a voice for the congregation as we listen to God and who will best serve his church in the future.
Matt and his wife Ashley have been members of since 2002, and are the proud parents of Grace (10th grade; Normal West) and Alison (7th grade; TLS). He spends a lot of time in the stands or on the bench with his daughters' sports teams. A Michigan native, Matt is a big fan of Detroit and UM sports teams, and he keeps tabs on way too many movies and TV shows.
Jamie has been a member of Trinity Lutheran Church since 2013 and has taught kindergarten Sunday School since 2015. She works part time at St. Mary's School as a special education and intervention teacher. She is married to Nick and they have been blessed with 3 sons- Boston, Baylor and Adler. She enjoys movie nights with her hubby and doing anything outdoors with her 3 boys, especially gardening. Jamie and the boys are still trying to talk Nick into getting some chickens for the backyard!
