Update from your Building Committee for September

Over the past couple of months the Building Committee has been meeting on a weekly basis with Carson Durham, (Architect from BLDD) and John Moses (Vice President of PJ Hoerr) towards a Master Site Plan for Trinity Lutheran’s Hamilton Road Site.  The information gathered at the Open Forum held on July 22, 2018 provided great feedback for John and Carson to continue work on the Master Site Plan best suited for Trinity Lutheran.  On Sunday, August 26, 2018 Congregation President, Brett Bloebaum shared a brief update from the building committee and feedback received from the Steier Group.  Feedback from the Steier Group projected that during an initial Capital Campaign, the church can reasonably anticipate raising between $2.5 and $4 million to fund the First Phase of the Building Project.  Since that announcement the Building Committee has been working diligently with BLDD and PJ Hoerr towards a potential first phase.  At this current stage the anticipated cost of the First Phase is $9.7 - $10.2 million and would include the congregation priorities of: A Sanctuary, Christian Education Spaces, a Large Fellowship Area, Church Administrative Offices, Additional Parking and Storage.  On September 16, 2018 during the Voters Meeting the Building committee presented their progress up to this point.  The items presented were a potential overview of the Master Site Plan of the Hamilton Road Site and also the anticipated First Building Phase.  While there are still many details that need to be worked through, the building committee would like to thank all those who provided feedback both at the Voters Meeting and prior to the meeting.  We really appreciate and value your questions and comments as we work towards a more efficient facility for God’s people.

Committee’s Next Steps
The committee, BLDD and PJ Hoerr will take the feedback received from the Voters Meeting and continue working towards a possible First Phase closer to the recommended budget of $8 million.

As always, we continue to ask for your prayers and guidance through this journey and that God would continue to lead us to do his will.
