In December, your Building Committee has continued to make significant progress with both the architect outreach and completing the congregational needs assessment. This December update details our progress and anticipated next steps.
The team received Request for Interest (RFI) responses from 6 architects and 7 construction companies. Responses were received from:
We have one company who declined (Doosbury) and one company who did not respond (River City Construction). Committee members are asked to review the responses by January.
Finalists will be asked for Request for Proposal (RFP) in January with interviews to occur shortly afterward.
We expect to utilize a design/build approach allowing us to partner with both architects and contractors earlier in the process ensuring a more desirable long term outcome.
Congregational Needs Assessment
The team reviewed the first six key decisions that need to be known in order to format information into requirements for the selected architect. Further discussion on remaining key decisions will occur in January.
We value your feedback (online, paper, meetings, etc) and look forward to taking the opportunity to respond to your questions and ideas.
We look forward to sharing more information as we know it. We would love for you to pray for God’s guidance as we continue on this journey together.
Yours in Christ,
